Research AreasThe School of Paediatrics and Reproductive Health has an international reputation for research in many aspects of reproduction and child health. Details and further information about the research areas can be found on separate pages for each of the Disciplines of Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Discipline of PaediatricsThe Discipline of Paediatrics has a wide range of basic science and clinical Research Programs undertaken by its own staff, and has a significant number of undergraduate and postgraduate research activities. The Discipline has links with other research groups in the Women's and Children's Hospital (Children, Youth and Women's Health Service) and with the Child Health Research Institute, as well as a strong involvement in the administrative aspects of research in the hospital. Discipline of Obstetrics and GynaecologyThe Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is a leading centre for research in many aspects of reproduction. It has an international reputation in a number of Research Areas, including maternal-fetal physiology, circadian physiology, reproductive immunology, embryology, advanced reproductive technology and perinatology. Research CentresChildren's Research CentreThe Children's Research Centre unites research groups within the Discipline of Paediatrics and their affliate collaborators around common childhood disorders that cross and extend beyond traditional boundaries of paediatric specialities. Research Centre for Reproductive HealthThe Research Centre for Reproductive Health is a world leader in the investigation and improvement of reproduction and reproductive health research, spanning oogenesis to post conception. The Centre’s membership comprises a number of relevant disciplines across the University from a variety of Schools and Faculties. The majority of research groups within the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are within the Research Centre for Reproductive Health. |
