Teaching in the DisciplineAlthough many perceive psychiatry to be a relatively modern discipline, under different names it has had a prominent place in teaching at the University of Adelaide since clinical teaching commenced at the Royal Adelaide Hospital over a hundred years ago. From those beginnings, the University of Adelaide Discipline of Psychiatry now operates as a multi-campus department, with an academic presence at the Royal Adelaide, The Queen Elizabeth, the Women's and Children's, and the Lyell McEwin Hospitals and The Adelaide Clinic, as well as there being clinical academic input from clinicians at the Modbury Hospital and Department of Health Community Services. Medical and health sciences students may choose from courses offered by the Discipline in these levels: Student Evaluation SELTs in Psychiatry We have designed a specialised SELT for Clinical teachers in Psychiatry. There
is a SELT for Year 4, and another for Year 6 teachers. You may wish to
evaluate your teaching using these forms. As well as providing feedback about
your teaching, these evaluations are useful for your CV and for applications
