   Glynn Morrish

  • Position: Ph.D. Student
  • Qualifications: BSc. (Hons)
  • Location: Medical School Nth., Room N533a, telephone 8303 5985, email: glynn.morrish@adelaide.edu.au
  • Academic interests:  Throughout my tertiary studies I have gained a great interest in the pharmacology of drugs of abuse and dependence. I am currently undertaking a PhD investigating the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of morphine and its primary metabolites in patients maintained on methadone. This involves the assaying biological samples for various drugs, in vitro metabolism studies and pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modelling utilising the latest computer software. Through this research I aim to increase our understanding of the pharmacology of morphine in methadone maintained individuals thus improving treatment outcomes for this patient population.
