Research in the Discipline of Paediatrics

The University of Adelaide, Discipline of Paediatrics has a wide range of basic science and clinical Research Programs undertaken by its own staff, and has a significant number of undergraduate and postgraduate research activities.

The Discipline has continued its links with other research groups in the Women's and Children's Hospital (Children, Youth and Women's Health Service) and with the Women's and Children's Health Research Institute, as well as a strong involvement in the administrative aspects of research in the hospital.

Research programs with clinical relevance have major implications for the continuing improvement of clinical care and it is important that the facilities, funding and incentives for high quality research remain part of the teaching hospital environment.

Seminar Programs are held on Tuesdays (Health Research Seminars) and Thursdays (FHS Primer Seminars), and the latter also encompasses the Structured Program for postgraduate students.
