This is the first version of the Javaman Program.  It remains here for historical interest only.  The simple gray button below opens the Javaman program to reveal 5 buttons:

Javaman
Takes you into the individual elements of the simulation
Start
Starts the simulation by turning on the ventilator and starting the heart
Monitor
Brings up the patient monitor with traces for blood pressure, arterial oxygen tension and capnography.
Setup
A shortcut to altering fundamental variables of the simulation such as oxygen consumption and ventilator settings
Things
A collection of goodies used in development.

Click on "Start" then click on "Monitor".  If all goes well you should see a trace of arterial blood pressure and the variation of carbon dioxide in the expired air.

You can look at most of the variables.  Do not worry about nitrogen or nitrous oxide,

I still have to work on the tissue stores of O2 and CO2 but it is nice just to see things taking shape.
