This version of the program includes "Save" and "Load" items under the "Run" menu.
With these you can Save or restore the state of the model.
This is incredibly useful but do not get too excited!
Java applets were initially designed with draconian security measures. It was impossible for them to write to or read from the disk drive of the client computer. (The client computer is your computer. The server computer is the one at the website that sent this document to you.)
You could run Javababy as a stand alone program on your computer and there would be no restrictions on disk access. To do this you would have to install a Java interpreter download the program, create a startup-file......
Alternatively you could download a really neat web browser for the people who wrote Java

The HotJavaTM Browser can be obtained from the above address.
If you open this page with the HotJava browser and open the JavaBaby program you should be able to save and restore the state of your model to a disk file.
You will need to set advance security features like this
