The relationship between the amount of oxygen carried in the blood and the pressure of oxygen is tied up with the oxy-haemoglobin dissociation curve.

The equations used can be found in the Java documentation for the "beans" used in this program.
At the moment discussion of the factors effecting the curve is outside the scope of the project.
If anyone would like to provide a tutorial around this curve I would be very thankful.
