Obstetrics and Gynaecology

UndergraduateThe Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is involved in teaching at all levels. It plays a part in the teaching of 1st Medical students with the Early Childhood Development Program. It teaches 2nd year students in skills sessions During their fourth year students may elect to undertake a Research Project with members of the Discipline. All medical students spend a 9 week rotation with O & G in their fifth year. The Discipline organises a third year course in the Bachelor of Health Sciences: Human Reproductive Health III. This one semester course is a problem based course with an emphasis on student directed learning in groups. The Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology offers an Honours course. Students with Science, Health Science and Medicine backgrounds undertake a course of study leading to the degrees of B.Sc. (Hons), B.Health Sc. (Hons) and B. Med. Sc.
