The head of the Discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is Professor Alastair MacLennan. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology tree (pdf 22kB) gives an overview of the School and the two disciplines of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics and their areas of research.

Opportunities exist for students wishing to undertake postgraduate degrees in B.Sc. (Hons), B.Health Sc. (Hons), B.Med.Sc., M.Med.Sc., Ph.D. or M.D. in the research areas outlined above.

The discipline is principally located at three sites: the Medical School, the Women's and Children's Hospital and the Lyell McEwin Hospital. It has close interactions with other University Departments and Hospitals.
