With the appropriate number of nursing staff now appointed in the five regional centres, these targets for 1997 should be achieved towards the end of the year.

The number of randomisations per general practitioner target is still sitting around the six per GP point. At the end of 1996 we have over 700 GPs registered with ANBP2, and our target being 1000 should be readily achieved by June/July 1997. At this rate six patients per practitioner will give us our 6,000 patient target.
